SECTION 4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS
Flash Point (Method): -4°F (TCC) Explosive Limits: Lower 2.6% Upper 12.8%
Auto Ignition Temperature: 837°F
Extinguishing Media: Water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide. Alcohol resistant foam (ATC type) preferred. Do not use direct water stream as not effective to extinguish fire.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures and Hazards: Wear chemical protective clothing and positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus. Approach upwind to avoid toxic vapors.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: Vapors are heavier than air and may accumulate in low lying areas. Ignition or flashback may occur. Containers can vent or rupture during a fire.

SECTION 6 HEALTH HAZARDS PROTECTIVE MEASURES FIRST AID
Carcinogen: No
EYES: Mild eye irritant which can be slow to heal. Wash thoroughly with clean water for 15 minutes. Use chemical goggles when handling this product. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
SKIN: Can cause skin flaking and drying on repeated or prolonged contact. Use neoprene or rubber gloves and apron when handling this product Wash thoroughly with clean water.
INHALATION: Excessive mist or vapors can cause irritation of the respiratory system and central nervous system depression. Symptoms of central nervous system depression in order of increasing exposure are headache, dizziness, drowsiness and lack of coordination. Single brief inhalation is not likely to cause adverse effects.
INGESTION: No hazard is anticipated from ingestion incidental to normal handling operations. A single dose oral toxicity is considered to be extremely low. In case of ingestion Do Not induce vomiting. Get medical attention.
IN ALL CASES: GET PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION IF ADVERSE EFFECTS PERSIST
PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY: Skin, eyes, inhalation, ingestion.
HYGIENE: Wash
hands and face before eating or drinking.
SECTION 7 PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, STORAGE AND USE
SPILLS AND LEAKS: Isolate the area. Eliminate ignition sources. Vapor explosion hazard. Keep out of low areas and sewers. Pump with explosion-proof equipment. Use foam to smother or suppress. Contain to prevent loss to the environment. Collect excess material. Report spill to proper authorities.
STORAGE AND HANDLING: Keep containers tightly closed. Store at ambient temperatures and away from sources of ignition. Ground containers if transferring. Use explosion proof equipment.
WASTE DISPOSAL: Follow recommendations of local, state and federal regulations.
EMPTY CONTAINERS: Replace and firmly tighten closures. Send to a recycling center or return to Wausau Chemical Corporation.
