SECTION 6 – HEALTH HAZARDS – PROTECTIVE MEASURES  – FIRST AID

Carcinogen:   No

EYES:             Severe eye irritant with possible permanent damage if not promptly treated. Use chemical goggles when handling this product. In the event of contact flush with water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.

SKIN:              Can cause skin irritation and even burns on repeated or prolonged contact. Use neoprene or rubber gloves and apron when handling this product. In the event of contact wash with water for 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.

INHALATION:            Mist or vapors can cause irritation of the respiratory system. Prolonged inhalation of high concentrations of chlorine gas may result in lung damage.

INGESTION:              Corrosive to the mouth, esophagus and mucous membranes with abdominal cramps, nausea, convulsions, coma and death. Drink large amounts of water. Do Not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.

IN ALL CASES:        GET PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION IF ADVERSE EFFECTS PERSIST

PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY:    Skin, eyes, inhalation, ingestion.

HYGIENE:      Wash hands and face before eating or drinking. Wash soiled clothing before wearing again if contact occurs.

SECTION 7 – PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, STORAGE AND USE

SPILLS AND LEAKS:          Use extreme caution as contamination with organic or combustible material may cause a fire or violent decomposition. If fire or decomposition occurs dilute with water. Otherwise, sweep up all visible material using a clean, dry shovel and broom and dissolve the material in water. Do no put back into the original container. Either use or dispose of immediately.

STORAGE AND HANDLING:         Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Store in the original tightly closed container. Keep away from heat sources, sunlight, or ignition sources. Use a dry utensil for removing from the container. Close immediately to prevent humidity contact. Any contamination may result in a reaction leading to a fire or explosion. Add this product to water only.

WASTE DISPOSAL:                        Follow recommendations of local, state and federal regulations.

EMPTY CONTAINERS:       Rinse thoroughly with water and place in thrash collection. Do Not reuse the container.
