Conditions to Avoid:                 Contact with water may cause a violent reaction with evolution of heat. Always add acid to water with agitation to dilute.

 

Materials to Avoid:                   Metals, Strong oxidizing or reducing agents. Sulfides. Sulfites. Strong bases. Fluorine. Sulfur trioxide. Phosphorous pentoxide.

 

Decomposition Products:          Toxic vapors. Phosphorous oxides. Can form hydrogen gas on reaction with some metals. Mixing with strong bases can cause high heat of reaction to form steam.

EYES:              Causes severe irritation and burns if not washed immediately. Use chemical goggles when handling this product. In the event of contact flush with water for 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention if symptoms develop.

 

SKIN:              Can cause skin irritation and possible burns on repeated or prolonged contact. In the event of contact wash with water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.

 

INHALATION:           Mist or vapors can cause severe irritation and burns of the respiratory system. Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. Get immediate medical attention.

 

INGESTION:              Corrosive to the mouth, esophagus and mucous membranes with severe irritation Drink large amounts of milk, egg whites or milk of magnesia. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.

WASTE DISPOSAL:              Follow recommendations of local, state and federal regulations.
