SECTION 4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS
Flash Point (Method): None Explosive Limits: Lower None Upper None
Flammable Limits: None Auto Ignition Temperature: None
Extinguishing Media: Water spray.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures and Hazards: Wear chemical protective clothing and positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus. Flood any containers with water to cool.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: Explosion hazard is high for unvented or partially vented containers in a fire. Decomposition of hydrogen peroxide creates oxygen that enhances a fire or explosion hazard. Hydrogen Peroxide is a strong oxidizer that can initiate spontaneous combustion of paper, wood, cloth, and other organic materials. Ignition can be very rapid or can be delayed for up to several hours.
SECTION 5 REACTIVITY INFORMATION
Stable: X Unstable: Hazardous Polymerization: Occurs: Does not Occur: X
Conditions to Avoid: Excessive heat or contamination of any kind.
Materials to Avoid: Heavy metals and their salts. Reducing agents, strong oxidizers, alkalis and particulate solids. Any organic material. All of these will cause decomposition and formation of oxygen.
Decomposition Products: Oxygen, steam, peroxide vapor and heat.

SECTION 6 HEALTH HAZARDS PROTECTIVE MEASURES FIRST AID
Carcinogen: No
EYES: Severe irritant and corrosive to the eyes with likely corneal damage, especially if not washed immediately. Use chemical goggles when handling this product. In the event of contact flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.
SKIN: Can cause severe skin irritation on contact. Use neoprene or rubber gloves and apron when handling this product. In the event of contact wash with water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.
INHALATION: Hazardous. Mist or vapors can cause severe irritation of the respiratory system. Remove to fresh air and get medical help.
INGESTION: Can be toxic. Corrosive to the mouth, esophagus and mucous membranes. Drink large amounts of water. Do Not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention. Attempts to evacute the stomach via emesis or gastric lavage should be avoided. A nasogastric or orogastric tube may be required for the reduction of severe distension due to gas formation.
IN ALL CASES: GET PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION IF ADVERSE EFFECTS PERSIST
PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY: Skin, eyes, inhalation, ingestion.
HYGIENE: Wash
hands and face before eating or drinking.
SECTION 7 PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, STORAGE AND USE
SPILLS AND LEAKS: Keep untrained personnel out of the area. Use protective clothing to prevent contact with skin or eyes. Dilute with a large volume of water and flush to a sewer or contain until the hydrogen peroxide decomposes. Do not allow concentrated material to enter sewer. DO NOT collect and containerize as contamination will cause decomposition to oxygen and heat.
STORAGE AND HANDLING: Keep containers closed. Do not store in an unvented container. Avoid excessive heat or contamination of any kind. Never return unused material to the original container. Only handle with compatible materials such as glass, stainless steel, aluminum or plastic.
WASTE DISPOSAL: Follow recommendations of local, state and federal regulations.
EMPTY CONTAINERS: Rinse thoroughly with water. Replace and firmly tighten closures. Send to a recycling center or return to Wausau Chemical Corporation.
