SECTION 6 HEALTH HAZARDS PROTECTIVE MEASURES FIRST AID
Carcinogen: No
EYES: Mild eye irritant. Use chemical goggles when handling this product. In the event of contact flush with water for 15 minutes, holding eyelids apart. Do not wear contact lenses. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.
SKIN: Can cause skin irritation on repeated or prolonged contact. Use neoprene or rubber gloves and apron when handling this product. In the event of contact wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.
INHALATION: Dust can cause irritation of mucous membranes. Larger amounts of inhalation may cause effects to the central nervous system, and cause visual and mental disturbances. Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, perform artificial respiration. Get medical attention immediately.
INGESTION: Large amounts may cause methemoglobin formation, headache, nausea, vomiting abdominal distsress. Repeated ingestion in large amounts, may cause cyanosis, convulsions, paralysis or coma. Drink two glasses of water. Then induce vomiting. Keep head below hips to prevent aspiration to lungs. Get immediate medical attention.
IN ALL CASES: GET PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION IF ADVERSE EFFECTS PERSIST
PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY: Skin, eyes, inhalation, ingestion, absorption.
HYGIENE: Wash
hands and face before eating or drinking.
SECTION 7 PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING, STORAGE AND USE
SPILLS AND LEAKS: Eliminate all ignition sources. Contain to prevent loss to the environment. Collect excess material. Do not flush to sewers or waterways.
