Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards:       Vapors are heavier than air and can travel along the ground and gather in low areas which can be ignited by ignition sources such as pilot lights. Overheated containers can burst due to pressure buildup.

EYES:              Mild eye irritant. Eye protection is recommended when handling this product. In the event of contact flush with water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.

 

SKIN:              Can cause irritation. Prolonged or repeated exposure can cause drying, defatting, and dermatitis. Use neoprene or rubber gloves and apron when handling this product. In the event of contact wash thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention is symptoms develop.

 

INHALATION:           Excessive mist or vapors can cause irritation of the respiratory system, coughing and headache.

 

INGESTION:              May produce intestinal, mucous membrane, throat and esophagus irritation with possible damage to vital organs. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.

 

IN ALL CASES:          GET PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION IF ADVERSE EFFECTS PERSIST

 

PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY:      Skin, eyes, inhalation, ingestion.

STORAGE AND HANDLING:           Keep containers tightly closed. Store at ambient temperatures and away from any heat or ignition sources.

 

WASTE DISPOSAL:              Follow the recommendations of local, state and federal regulations.

 

EMPTY CONTAINERS:        Send to a reconditioning firm or return to Wausau Chemical Corporation.
