EYES:              Mild eye irritant. Use chemical goggles when handling this product. In the event of contact flush with water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms develop.

 

SKIN:              Can cause skin irritation on repeated or prolonged contact. Can be absorbed through the skin and produce central nervous system (CNS) depression. Use neoprene or rubber gloves and apron when handling this product. In the event of contact wash thoroughly with soap and water.

 

INHALATION:           Excessive concentrations of mist or vapors can cause irritation of the respiratory system as well as euphoria, excitation or giddiness, headache, nausea, vomiting abdominal pain, loss of appetite and CNS depression at high concentrations. Provide adequate ventilation.

 

INGESTION:  Can cause irritation of the mucous membranes. Readily absorbed by the stomach and intestinal tract with nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, delirium and CNS effects. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.

 

IN ALL CASES:          GET PROMPT MEDICAL ATTENTION IF ADVERSE EFFECTS PERSIST

HYGIENE:      Wash hands and face before eating or drinking. Wash soiled clothing before wearing again if contact occurs.

SPILLS AND LEAKS:            A spill or leak can cause an immediate fire/explosion hazard. Eliminate ignition sources. Contain to prevent loss to the environment. Collect excess material.

 

STORAGE AND HANDLING:           Keep containers tightly closed. Store away from heat or combustion sources. Ground containers and equipment containing this material.

 

WASTE DISPOSAL:              Follow recommendations of local, state and federal regulations.

 

EMPTY CONTAINERS:        Tighten closures. Keep away from ignition sources. Empty containers contain residues that can ignite with explosive force. Send to a recycling firm or return to Wausau Chemical Corporation.
